Through a statement, Venezuela rejected on Monday the terrorist attack perpetrated on the document in the city of Petersburg, Russia, where a press correspondent lost his life.
The statement was published by the Minister for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil through his Twitter account, in which he posted: “Venezuela condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, which constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security”.
The bomb attack, which occurred this Sunday, also left a balance of 30 people injured.
According to investigations, an estimated 200 grams of TNT was used to carry out the bomb attack on the cafe.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela condemns the cowardly terrorist attack that occurred in the city of Saint Petersburg, this April 2, 2023, in which a press correspondent lost his life and more than 30 people were injured
In this regard, we express our heartfelt condolences and fraternal solidarity to the families of the victims in this criminal and unjustifiable terrorist act.
Likewise, we raise our voices to condemn terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, which constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.
The Bolivarian Government, through its Peace Diplomacy, reiterates that peace is the only path and destiny of humanity, in order to achieve the necessary unity of the international community in the fight against all forms of violence, in accordance with the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations and other obligations under international law
