Venezuela condemns attack against Brazilian Government institutions

Yván Gil to Noboa: You are a real threat to the stability of the region

The Government of Venezuela, through a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemned the recent attacks in Brazil, which attempted to affect the stability of the Government of that country, since the events were recorded in the political heart of the Rio nation. , specifically in Plaza Brasilia, right where the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, Congress and the Supreme Court are located.

In the letter, the Venezuelan Government relates these events to factors linked to fascism, and consequently, to the global extreme right, which through social networks tries to generate chaos.

Below is the full text from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.

“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its strong condemnation of the recent attacks on November 13, 2024 that occurred in the Plaza de los Tres Poderes in the city of Brasilia and which aim to shake the peace of the government and its institutions, expressing its absolute solidarity with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and all the Brazilian people.

These events demonstrate, once again, the danger represented by the advance of the fascist and anti-democratic wave that, using social networks and other mass communication mechanisms, the global extreme right tries to inoculate on our continent to produce destabilization and social chaos.

Venezuela, faithful to its principles of brotherhood and fraternity, continues to work so that our region is a zone of peace and repudiates any attempt that seeks to destroy the stability and well-being of our people and the world.”
