“The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela congratulates the people of the United States of America on the 246th anniversary of its Declaration of Independence.
Venezuelan and American patriots, as were the cases of our Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda in the US and US officials in Venezuela, were the ones who fought for the foundation of both republics. They managed to unite efforts for the noble cause of independence, rejecting the colonialist pretensions of foreign powers. In a world that has not yet managed to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, which is also going through a deep systemic crisis that threatens peace and life on the planet, it is necessary to rescue the spirit of cooperation for mutual benefit and make diplomacy and respect, are imposed as a relationship mechanism between two nations that face shared challenges.
Venezuela stands in solidarity with the struggles of the American people, the first to resist the attacks of a political and economic model that has already become unsustainable and that only spreads poverty and backwardness.
