The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the growth of bilateral cooperation between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and our country, especially in the agricultural area.
In this sense, he expressed his desire to continue weaving firm ties with this Asian nation, which he promised to visit soon. “Venezuela has been rising in agricultural production, so today we are in better conditions to receive the knowledge and technological cooperation of Vietnam in Venezuela,” said the president.
He stressed that the Asian nation is an agricultural power, with which Venezuela can advance in food production. He added that both nations will also increase their energy exchange, for which he ordered that “negotiations and work between Petrovietnam and PDVSA be resumed, and we reach great cooperation agreements on energy.”
The Head of State’s statements were made during the farewell and award ceremony for the Vietnamese Ambassador, Le Viet Duyen, whom he thanked for the powerful cooperation in education, health, science and technology between the two countries, as well as in matters of commercial and agricultural exchange.
The act took place after completing the acceptance of credentials of the ambassadors of the Bahamas, Laos and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
“Any physical distance can be overcome by mutual admiration,” Maduro said to express his affection for the Vietnamese people, whom he will visit “very soon.”
“We will be there bringing the love and admiration of the people of Venezuela,” he told the diplomat with whom he sent cordial greetings to the high authorities of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
