The Bolivarian Government expressed its gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for rejecting the politicization of human rights as a pretext to interfere in internal affairs.
Foreign Minister Yván Gil highlighted through his Telegram channel that this practice has been used against Venezuela to discredit its institutions and justify military aggression.
Venezuela valued Beijing’s firm position in rejection of the violation of national sovereignty.
In the official publication, it is highlighted that the Venezuelan people reaffirm their commitment to political self-determination and control of their natural resources.
For its part, the Chinese Government was categorical in opposing unilateral sanctions, alleging that they have no basis in international law and violate the Charter of the United Nations.
Deepening commercial ties
Minister Gil also reported that Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to strengthening economic agreements with China.
In this regard, the spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, He Yadong, stated that the bilateral relationship is supported by international laws and regulations of both sovereign countries.
Yadong expressed that commercial reciprocity ties constitute cooperation between States that will be maintained regardless of changes in the political situation in Venezuela.
Finally, he thanked Xi Jinping’s government for its solidarity in the face of the recent military aggression by the United States and the kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores.
