Venezuela and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic will establish alliances

Venezuela and the Republic Arab Democratic Saharawi will concretize agreements of common interest and will defend the self-determination of the peoples.

The information was released by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, through his account on the social network Twitter, in which he explained that on behalf of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Sunday the president of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, brahim ghaliwho is making an official visit to Venezuela in order to seal cooperation agreements.

“On behalf of the President @NicolasMadurowe welcome the President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Brahim Ghali, who is visiting our country in order to finalize agreements of common interest, and raise his voice in defense of the sovereignty and self-determination of our peoples”, published the Chancellor on his Twitter .

This Sunday, the President of the Republic Arab Democratic Saharawi, Brahim Ghali, arrived in Venezuela for an official visit.

Upon his arrival in the country, he was received at the Simón Bolívar de Maiquetía International Airport, in the state of La Guaira, by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, and other officials of the national Executive.

The visit of the President of the Republic Arab Democratic Saharawi, Brahim Ghali, to Venezuela seeks to strengthen the defense of the sovereignty of both countries, the Foreign Ministry said in its account on the social network.

Venezuela recognizes Saharawi struggle

Venezuela It is one of the more than 80 nations that recognize the struggle of the Saharawi people, which is a member of the African Union.

Last Thursday, March 16, the new Venezuelan ambassador to the Saharawi Republic, Juan Bautista Arias Palacio, handed over his credentials to Gali.

It is important to remember that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela recognized the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic as an independent State on August 3, 1980, and on December 8, 1982, both countries established diplomatic relations.
