Venezuela and Suriname sign agreements to strengthen cooperation

The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations of Venezuela, Yván Gil, and his counterpart from SurinamAlbert Ramdin, signed this Monday the minutes and the joint declaration of the V Meeting of the Political Consultation Mechanism between both countries.

The activity was carried out in the Salvador Allende room of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry and represents a sample of the actions carried out by both peoples to secure the ties of cooperation and mutual support, as indicated in the press release of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.

After the development of different meetings with Venezuelan authorities, the Surinamese diplomat reiterated his nation’s intention to advance with Venezuela in different agreements on agriculture, fisheries and air interconnectivity.

The foreign minister of Suriname arrived in Venezuela this Sunday for a working visit in which he held meetings with representatives of the national executive and which led to the activation of work groups on agriculture, air connectivity, higher education, health, mining, among other.
