The executive vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led the meeting of the XIX Russia-Venezuela High Level Intergovernmental Commission, in which she detailed the achievements following the strategic alliance and cooperation between both nations.

Rodríguez specified that “42 new actions are being proposed in 10 areas of the existing CIAN commissions, and we know that Russia-Venezuela, our relationship, is unstoppable and indestructible. I say this with the conviction of our historical roots, which promote independence, which promote self-determination and which promote sovereignty,” he indicated.
Rodríguez stressed that Russia and Venezuela raise the flags of peace, stability, cooperation, “healthy trade,” and exchange within the framework of international law.
«We know that Russia is fighting a great battle, which seeks to definitively defeat any space left for fascism, for extremism. “80 years ago, Russia precisely knew how to carry the flags of the dignity of the people and peace.”
He indicated that 80 years later “they are symbolically fighting the same battle for humanity, against neo-fascism, neo-Nazism and we know that President Maduro’s participation in the commemorative events carried the spirit of anti-fascist and anti-imperialist Venezuela as well.”
Russia a solid block
Rodríguez thanked Russia for maintaining joint paths within the framework of OPEC+, which brings together not only the countries of the organization, but also the oil-producing countries that are not in the organization, but which he said “are already a solid block in the defense of prices, since a balance is sought in the international market, as well as the economic stability of producers and consumers.”
He also highlighted the presence of the Eurasian country in the BRICS, since they represent the expression of the development of the new world based on International Law and multilateralism, where nations come together for the cooperation of peoples and not to harm other countries.
CIAN balance very positive
Rodríguez stressed that the balance of the XIX CIAN “is very positive” and recalled that in the energy field, the Venezuelan parliament extended for 15 more years the validity and alliance that Venezuela has with the joint companies Petroperijá and Petroboqueron.
He also reported that the other 3 joint companies, Petromonagas, Petrovictoria, and Petropiar, maintain satisfactory production levels.
In terms of gas, he said that progress continues and said that in “this CIAN” progress was made in cooperation on gas, with a Russian company for the export and production of gas.
Regarding the financial sphere, he pointed out that the MIR cards continue to be used, which are used by Russian tourists and now the step is being taken to use cards that can be used by Venezuelans in Russia.
“A new financial mechanism, in the face of the criminal blockade against our countries that express hatred and resentment, healthy mechanisms are used, agreed upon between our countries and that allows us to continue moving forward without any difficulty.”
Agri-food area
Rodríguez referred to cooperation in the agri-food area, which has already been taking place with regard to cocoa products and now with “sea products”, a special protocol has been signed.
He indicated that the aim is to increase trade exchange to 400 million dollars.
Cancer vaccine
Regarding the field of health, the vice president highlighted the signing of a protocol for cooperation on cancer vaccines
“For us, this scientific advance by Russia will be one of Russia’s contributions to humanity and we want to have Venezuela there, accompanying this great historical step that has been taken in Russia.”
Regarding the field of insulin, he specified that by 2026 it will already be produced in Venezuela, thanks to technological transfer.
Agreements for strategic minerals
Regarding mining, Rodríguez reported that there is “extraordinary news.”
“We are signing agreements for strategic minerals and for exploitation and exploration in the Mining Arc of Venezuela, where one of the greatest wealth is, gold and diamond.”
He said that this is good news for both the people of Russia and Venezuela.
The vice president pointed out that protocols were also signed in the sports and cultural sphere.
