Venezuela and Poland will sign an agreement to strengthen cruise tourism

Venezuela and Poland will sign an agreement on January 5 that will bring tourists to the country through cruise tourism.

This was indicated by the Minister for Tourism, Alí ​​Padrón, who asserted that progress has already been made in the meetings to finalize the agreements.

“We have started to continue working, to bring tourists. On January 5 we will be signing an agreement with Poland, to bring tourists from Warsaw,” Padrón said Tuesday in an interview.

In this sense, he stressed that work is being done together with Bolipuertos and the Ministry of Transportation, to make other ports available for the arrival of cruise ships.

“There are important technical issues but we hope that this year cruise tourism will be fully reactivated,” emphasized the head of the Tourism portfolio.

On the other hand, he referred to the cruise ship that arrived this Tuesday at Margarita IslandNew Sparta State, with almost 500 European tourists, and that will have more than five routes to visit.

«I had the opportunity to speak with them and they told me that they were delighted. We have broken the cellophane” of the sanctions against the country, “and we have managed” to advance on the tourism issue; Padron said.

Tourists will also be guaranteed all the necessary security.

For this reason, more than 140 military personnel and officials from local, regional and national Citizen Security Organizations were deployed on the five tourist routes that Europeans will visit.

Cable car systems will be delivered this month

On the other hand, the head of Tourism pointed out that both the Waraira Repano Cable Car System (Caracas) and the Mukumbarí (Mérida) are expected to be delivered this month, fully recovered.

This, after the guaya necessary for its recovery arrived in the country on Tuesday.

In this regard, he stressed that in order to have this product, different operations had to be carried out, due to the sanctions.

The guaya – he explained – will be installed this Wednesday and the tests will be carried out in a period of 25 days.

After this, everything will be ready for the total delivery of both cable cars.
