Venezuela and North Korea strengthen bilateral relations

The Minister for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, held a working meeting with the ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea accredited in Venezuela, Ri Sung Gil, with the aim of discussing various issues of common interest to both nations.

This was reported by the Venezuelan foreign minister through his Twitter account where he highlighted the support between both nations for the defense of the principles of the United Nations Charter, peace, world stability and the right of peoples to self-determination and sovereignty.

“We reviewed together with the Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in our country, Ri Sung Gil, the position in defense of the Principles of the United Nations Charter, peace, world stability and the right of peoples to self-determination and sovereignty,” he said.

During the meeting, the diplomats exchanged their points of view on the world situation, highlighting the scenario in the continents of Europe and Asia, and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

Another of the points discussed was peace, the right of peoples to self-determination and sovereignty as part of the complex situation in both countries as a result of the constant interference of the United States government.
