The Vice Minister for Latin America and the Caribbean, Rander Peña, held a working meeting on Monday with the accredited ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua in Caracas, Orlando José Gómez, in order to continue deepening the ties of friendship and cooperation between both nations.
The meeting took place at the Casa Amarilla, Antonio José de Sucre, in Caracas, where both diplomats reviewed issues of interest to the peoples, as well as cooperation issues in cultural, social and political matters.
Vice Minister Peña pointed out that regarding the planting of Rubén Darío and Augusto Sandino, both countries will actively participate in promoting the thought of these revolutionaries.
For his part, the Nicaraguan diplomat highlighted his country’s will to strengthen and follow the path of bilateral relations with Venezuela, as well as to expand the range of cooperation in various areas.
Likewise, he stressed that this meeting seeks to “strengthen the links that allow us to strengthen Latin American integration from the different instances, bilateral and multilateral,” indicates a press release from the Foreign Ministry of the Republic.
The success of relations between Venezuela and Nicaragua is reflected in the achievements made in the more than 60 bilateral instruments signed in the areas of trade and industry, culture, energy and oil, science and technology, telecommunications, politics, mining, tourism, defense and nutrition.
