Venezuela and Namibia develop a work agenda to promote the strengthening of bilateral relationsframed in the strategic priority granted to the nations of Mother Africa by the national government.
The information was released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela (MPPRE), through a note press release, in which he explained that the revision of the work agenda between the two countries takes place before the arrival this Sunday of the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah.
The african diplomat was received at the Simón Bolívar International Airport by the MPPRE Vice Minister for Africa, Yuri Pimentel.

The Minister for International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah, has held positions such as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (1990-1996), Minister of Equality and Child Welfare (2000-2005), of Information and Media Communication (2005-2008) and Environment and Tourism (2008-2012).
In recognition of his fight for the independence of the South African nation, on March 3, 2021, he was conferred the Francisco de Miranda Order, in its First Class, granted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, the note added.
Venezuela–Namibia relations
Venezuela and Namibia established diplomatic relations on May 22, 1990. Since then, they have signed 11 cooperation mechanisms that cover the areas of energy, mining, science, and culture.
With the coming to power of the first leader of the Bolivarian Revolution and then Venezuelan president, Comandante Hugo Chávez, these relations deepened, under the vision of the Africa Agenda as an innovative foreign policy format promoted by the president, which provided a rapprochement and recognition to the countries of Mother Africa.
Currently, the Bolivarian Government, led by President Nicolás Maduro, has strengthened these relations, through the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, and maintaining mutual respect.
In this regard, both countries in the multilateral arena share common interests, such as respect for international law, non-interference in internal affairs, South-South cooperation, strengthening democracy, international peace and respect for Human rights.
