The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held an official meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Mali, Abdoulaye Diop, in which the bilateral cooperation agenda was reviewed with the aim of deepening the brotherhood relations between both nations.
Reaffirming South-South cooperation
During the meeting, both delegations addressed issues of regional interest in the framework of South-South Cooperation, highlighting the importance of promoting a multipolar world free from Unilateral sanctions.
They agreed on the need to defend mutual respect and self -determination of peoples as fundamental pillars of international diplomacy.
Venezuela and Africa: an alliance for peace and development
Vice President Rodríguez ratified Venezuela’s firm will to continue working with African countries in favor of peace, union and shared development.
This commitment is part of a foreign policy that seeks to strengthen the historical, cultural and strategic ties with the African continent.
Relationships between Venezuela and Mali have been characterized by mutual respect and cooperation in multilateral forums.
In recent years, Venezuela has intensified its links with African countries as part of its diplomatic diversification strategy, especially in issues such as health, education, energy and defense of sovereign rights against external coercive measures.
