Venezuela and Japan address issues of strategic interest

At the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a high-level working meeting was held this Thursday with the participation of the vice minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh Moreno, and the Japanese ambassador accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yasushi Sato.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cordiality, allowing the diplomatic representatives to address issues of strategic interest for the bilateral agenda, reported the portal of the institution.

The parties reaffirmed the will of their countries to continue working within the framework of diplomatic dialogue and building consensus that benefits both peoples.

It should be remembered that diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Japan were established in 1938, but were broken in 1941 as a result of the Second World War and were reestablished in 1951.
