Venezuela and Iran consolidate agreements in strategic areas

Venezuela and Iran continue to consolidate this Tuesday agreements and cooperation firms in the areas of energy, science, technology, health, education, agriculture, transportation and tourism, informed the president of the High Level Mixed Commission between the two countries, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán.

The signature of the cooperation agreements between both nations occurs as part of the ninth High Level Mixed Commission that takes place in Tehran, Iran.

“At the moment, the discussions and signing of cooperation agreements in energy, scientific, technological, health, education, agricultural, transport and tourism between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Venezuela continue,” said the Minister for Transport in a message published on his account on the social network Twitter.

Arrival of 1,000 Iranian vehicles

The Minister for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, previously announced the upcoming arrival in the country of a thousand vehicles manufactured by the Iranian company Saipa, as part of a strategic alliance that will allow the reactivation of automobile production in the country.

He explained that Two types of Iranian vehicles will be arriving in the country: Quick and Saina, which stand out for consuming only seven liters of fuel for every 100 kilometers traveled.

“They are wonderful vehicles, a 1.5 engine, which for every 100 kilometers consume only seven liters of fuel. Smooth in handling, so it will be a great happiness for the Venezuelan family,” he said.

He also stressed that “by instruction of the president @NicolasMaduro we will reactivate the automotive engine assembling these vehicles at the Venirauto plant in Maracay to meet the demand of the people”.

Venezuela-Iran Mixed Commission

The 9th meeting of the High-Level Mixed Commission is held as part of the 20-year plan scheduled and planned by the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and his counterpart from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisim.

This plan was agreed upon by both leaders during a meeting held in Tehran, during the tour of the Venezuelan Head of State through Eastern and African countries.
