Venezuela and Honduras reinvigorate the unity of the peoples and comprehensive bilateral economic development, highlighted the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil.
The information was released by Gil through his account on the social network Twitter, in which he indicated that in the meeting held this Tuesday with the Secretary of Strategic Planning of the Republic of Honduras, Ricardo Salgado, they reviewed the cooperation agenda and ties of friendship between both countries.
“We met with the Secretary of Strategic Planning of the Republic of Honduras, Ricardo Salgado, to re-promote the unity of our nations and economic development for the benefit of both peoples,” the Foreign Minister published.
Strategic complementarity projects
With the objective of advancing in strategic projects of complementarity between Venezuela and Honduras, this Tuesday the Minister for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, and the Secretary of Strategic Planning of the Republic of Honduras, Ricardo Salgado, met to review mutual cooperation projects , referred to a note from the Chancellery.
Venezuela–Honduras relations
After 12 years of estrangement, in January 2022 diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Honduras were reestablished, regarding the electoral victory of the president Xiomara Castro in the general elections of November 2021.
The Bolivarian Government appointed Margaud Godoy as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the Republic of Honduras.
At the end of January of this year, Minister Yván Gil, in the context of the VII Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) in Argentina, held a meeting with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Honduras, Enrique Reina , with the reciprocal objective of continuing to consolidate fraternal bilateral relations.
From the meetings after the distancing, both countries work to strengthen the ties of cooperation and historical brotherhood.
