Venezuelan Chancellor Yván Gil, held a meeting with Grenada Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, in order to reaffirm brotherhood ties between the two countries.
“During the 80 UN Session in New York, we continue to reaffirm our bilateral ties, highlighting a meeting with Grenada Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, whom we transmit a fraternal greeting from President Nicolás Maduro,” Gil wrote in his Telegram channel.
Similarly, the Venezuelan diplomat added that the meeting was used at the UN, to consolidate “cultural and academic” exchanges, as well as “to strengthen our multilateral alliances for mutual benefit.”
“We have agreed on the need to continue consolidating the previously agreed strategic economic cooperation roadmap this year, in addition to underlineing our commitment to expand cultural and academic exchange, and strengthen our multilateral alliances for mutual benefit,” he concluded.
Two friendly nations
Since 1977, Venezuela and Grenada have strengthened brotherhood relations that have been strengthened in recent years, based on solidarity, friendship and cooperation.
On April 29, in a significant act, the Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell, signed a joint statement, in order to strengthen cooperation and face the challenges of the international agenda.
In this same act, both nations They signed a road map that ratifies the Caribbean as a peace zone.
Grenada, has been one of the Caribbean countries that has raised his voice against the coercive measures imposed by the US against Venezuela, thus demonstrating his commitment that Bolívar’s homeland.
