Venezuela and FAO reviewed cooperation strategies

The Minister for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, held a meeting this Wednesday with the regional representative of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for Latin America and the Caribbean, Mario Lubetkin.

Through your account at Twitter social network, Gil stated that – during the meeting – cooperation strategies between both parties were reviewed.

Similarly, Venezuela reiterated its commitment to “guarantee security and food sovereignty for the people.”

“We spoke with Mario Lubetkin, Deputy Director General and Regional Representative of FAO for Latin America and the Caribbean, about opportunities for cooperation, global challenges and Venezuela’s firm commitment to guarantee food security and sovereignty for the people,” he wrote in the social network.

This Tuesday, the FAO representative visited the “Villa Zoila” Mission Base at Cota 905, in Caracas.

The meeting was also attended by the FAO representative to Venezuela, Alexis Bonte.

The Deputy Director General and Regional Representative of FAO for Latin America and the Caribbean will be in Venezuela until this Thursday to finalize the signing of the Country Programming Framework 2023-2026, a document derived from the United Nations Cooperation Framework for Sustainable Development 2023-2026.
