Venezuela and China review bilateral agenda to deepen alliance

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Félix Plasencia, met this Saturday with the Chinese ambassador to the country, Li Baorong, to review the issues on the bilateral agenda with a view to deepening the alliance.

“In order to review the issues on the bilateral agenda that deepen the strategic alliance between Caracas and Beijing, and share information on the world situation, we received the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the national government, Li Baorong, at the Foreign Ministry,” Plasencia said. via Twitter.

He pointed out that during the meeting they confirmed their “shared rejection of the imposition of “unilateral coercive measures” and their multilateral commitment “in the defense of international law and the principles of the community of nations.”

This is the second meeting between Plasencia and Li Baorong in just over a month. On February 11, both officials They rejected the imposition of sanctions and the politicization that is intended to be imposed on Human Rights. In addition, Venezuela ratified its adherence to the “One China” principle, with regard to its territorial integrity.

China and Venezuela established diplomatic ties more than 47 years ago and deepened since 2001 with the creation of the China-Venezuela High-Level Joint Commission.
