The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the People’s Republic of China commemorate this Tuesday, June 28, 48 years of diplomatic relations of brotherhood and solidarity “of the highest level” in favor of the peoples, emphasized the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez.
In statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the Vice President detailed: “We have arrived at these 48 years of diplomatic relations with great successes, and we can say that Commander Chávez was not mistaken when he took relations with China to a very excellent level, and President Maduro has been reaping even more of these relationships.”
He recalled that after the relations that Commander Hugo Chávez maintained and those that are established today with China, Venezuela has executed more than 618 projects financed by the Chinese Fund, in various areas such as culture, aerospace, energy, military, mining, among others. others.
“Cooperation with China is in every corner of the life of the Venezuelan people,” Rodríguez said.
He emphasized that China has been present during the covid-19 pandemic to attend to any situation in countries around the world, in this sense, he highlighted the solidarity of the Asian giant to help Venezuela, with the arrival of a commission of doctors to instruct professionals. of Venezuelan health.
He highlighted that more than 40 flights were carried out between 2020 and 2021 to bring to the country more than 30 million doses of vaccines, PCR tests and equipment to combat the pandemic.
“China always extolling what the international relationship should be, we share the same planet and friendship must guide us and not hatred, sovereign equality without impositions,” the vice president emphasized.
During her remarks, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez mentioned that this year 2022 will mark eight years of the Comprehensive Strategic Association, with which the diplomatic relationship between China and Venezuela has been consolidated.
“Relations between China and Venezuela have been tested in the face of aggression and threats, they have increased and deepened in the spirit of building brotherly relations,” he added.
He also stressed that “China is at the forefront, for the construction of a new world, giving life and claiming the Charter of the United Nations and respecting the self-determination of peoples.”
At 48 years old, we congratulate each other, Rodríguez said, for the brotherhood of both countries, “we have been growing since Hugo Chávez arrived in Venezuela, united in the face of any threat, we will stand tall with our heads held high.”

For his part, the Chinese ambassador to Venezuela, Li Baorong, specified that diplomatic relations between the two countries are at their best.
“We are in the midst of the best bilateral relations, in the face of tremendous international changes and the pandemic,” he said.
On this day of 48 years of diplomatic relationship, the Ambassador reiterated “the firm will and commitment of the Chinese government to continue developing close relations and comprehensive strategic partnership with Venezuela.”
“We are in the best moment in the history of these relations. China and Venezuela are united in friendship, cooperation and brotherhood,” she added.
In addition, he praised the leadership of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the glorious people of Venezuela, in the face of threats and sanctions from the United States, “they have achieved great successes.”
“Venezuela has managed to defend peace and stability for the economic and social development of the people. They have earned the admiration of the Chinese and all the peoples of the world,” she concluded.
