The delegations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Federative Republic of Brazil held a working meeting on Monday in which they agreed to “develop joint actions in the field of Binational Trade to advance greater coordination on the economic and commercial situation of both countries ”
This was reported by Foreign Minister Yván Gil through his Twitter account, in which he specified that this meeting followed up on the Brasilia Declaration, signed on May 29, between Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. .
In a release published on the social network indicates that both delegations decided to install “a Brazil-Venezuela work commission for the product evaluation Brazilians of animal and vegetable origin”.
In addition, they ratified the mutual commitment of combat cross-border smuggling.
These agreements arise from the “construction of the new map of cooperation based on the principles of brotherhood, solidarity and complementarity”, the text highlights.

“On June 19, 2023, in the city of Caracas, a Working Meeting took place between the delegations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Federative Republic of Brazil, in order to follow up on the commitments assumed in the Declaration of Brasilia signed between the presidents Nicolás Maduro Moros and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on May 29, 2023.
Both delegations agreed to develop joint actions in the field of Binational Trade to advance greater coordination on the economic and commercial situation of both countries, through which they decided to install the Administrative Commission provided for in the Economic Complementation Agreement (ACE-69), signed on December 27, 2012, as well as a Brazil-Venezuela work commission for the evaluation of Brazilian products of animal and vegetable origin, in addition to the mutual commitment to combat cross-border smuggling.
In this sense, the parties agreed to meet soon in order to install the corresponding technical tables with a view to reinvigorating the bilateral relationship within the framework of the construction of the new cooperation map based on the principles of brotherhood, solidarity and complementarity”.
