Venezuela and Bolivia strengthen cooperation ties

Venezuela and Bolivia reaffirmed their commitment to union, after paying tribute this Thursday to El Libertador Simón Bolívar, in La Paz.

“Together with the Foreign Minister of Bolivia, Rogelio Mayta, we pay tribute with a floral offering in the Plaza Venezuela of La Paz to our Liberator, Simón Bolívar,” said Foreign Minister Plasencia, through his account on the social network Twitter.

He also said “we reaffirm the commitment to union between both nations, bequeathed by the historical heroes of our emancipatory deed.”

Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia has been in Bolivia since Wednesday, as part of an official visit, to strengthen cooperation ties.

According to the Bolivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a message posted on Twitter, the foreign ministers of Venezuela and Bolivia offered a joint statement in which they reaffirmed “the ties of friendship between both countries.”

Official visit

The Venezuelan foreign minister, Félix Plasencia, arrived in Bolivia on Wednesday to carry out an official visit that aims to strengthen bilateral relations with the government of the president of that country, Luis Arce.

Plasencia and a delegation arrived at the El Alto international airport, where they were received by the Bolivian deputy foreign minister, Freddy Mamani.

“Vice Foreign Minister @FreddyMamani_Bo receives the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of #Venezuela, Félix Plasencia, who arrives in the country as part of an official visit,” the Bolivian Foreign Ministry published on its social networks.
