Venezuela and Azerbaijan have signed agreements on energy, mining, tourism, among others.
The Vice Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh Moreno, held a meeting on Thursday with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Elnur Israfil Oglu Mammadov, to strengthen relations between the two nations.
The meeting was held within the framework of the 52nd regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UN), which takes place in Geneva, Switzerland; refers to a press release from Ministry for Foreign Relations.
Venezuela and Azerbaijan have maintained relations for 27 years, and have signed different agreements on energy, mining, tourism, among others.
Last June, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, made an international tour, where he visited the Eurasian country.
During their visit, they highlighted the deepening of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.
Similarly, they agreed on the need to join efforts to increase the rapprochement between the two peoples and advance with firm steps in the establishment of a win-win cooperation for the benefit of the two countries.
