Venezuela and Angola explore new projects

As part of the work visit to the Republic of Angola, the Deputy Minister for Africa of the Ministry of Popular Power for Venezuelan Foreign Affairs, Yuri Pimentel, visited the headquarters of the Provincial Government of Luanda (capital of Angola), where he held an audience with the Vice Governor for the political and social sector, Manuel António Gonçalves.

The visit was aimed at exploring cooperation initiatives between the cities of Luanda and Caracas, with a view to generating a tool that allows the promotion of projects in the cultural, sports and shared heritage or another of common interest, which strengthens friendship ties, highlighting that in 2026 the city of Luanda will celebrate its 450th anniversary, review a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.

Likewise, both authorities agreed to continue the diplomatic and political efforts for the placement of the bust of the Liberator Simón Bolívar in the city of Luanda, in a space already arranged by the Government of the Province.

This meeting reaffirms mutual commitment to strengthen historical, cultural and diplomatic ties between the sister nations of Angola and Venezuela.
