Venezuela alerted attack against UN Charter

Venezuela participated in the general debate of the annual session of the Special Committee of the United Nations Charter to Strengthen the role of the organization, reported the Venezuelan Mission to the UN.

“On behalf of the 20 countries that make up the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter, Venezuela participates in the general debate,” the mission said on Twitter.

The alternate ambassador of Venezuela before the UN, Joaquin Perez Ayestaranstated that the UN Charter has been attacked by growing unilateralism and exceptionalism.

Pérez highlighted the seriousness of the matter by recalling that said text is the basis of international law.

“We call to guarantee that the sanctions imposed by the #UN Security Council against countries where there are deployed Peace Missions do not become a factor of socioeconomic destabilization that ends up prolonging conflicts and exacerbating their root causes,” he added in his account. on the social network Twitter.
