Venezuela advances in the promotion of multilateralism and integration

The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, highlighted Venezuela’s actions in promoting multilateralism and integration, regarding the latest international events.

“This week in Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, from Baku, Arzerbaijan, we continue to promote multilateralism and integration. Likewise, we review some progress of this 2023 together with the 33 Celac Foreign Ministries and explore new opportunities with Barbados”, the Foreign Minister published on the social network.

In a video attached to the message, Gil offered details about the actions advanced during the weekwhich began in Baku at the NAM at the meeting of the Ministerial Bureau, reaffirming the principles of the movement in support of multilateralism and against the imposition of Unilateral Coercive Measures (NCU).

He pointed out that in the same way from Baku he held a series of bilateral meetings with Kuwait, Russia, Palestine, Malaysia, Iraq, Nepal, Syria, Belarus, Algeria, Ethiopia, Azerbaijan, Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Tunisia, the Philippines, India, Kazakhstan and Indonesia, reports AVN.

“We celebrated the second anniversary of the United Nations Charter at our diplomatic headquarters in Baku where the 20 countries that make up this group participated,” added Gil, continuing with the activities of the recent week.

“We also accompanied the state of Palestine, together with all the ministers and ministers of the NAM and we were at the event of the youth of the NAM, accompanying Azerbaijan and Uganda as the next president of the NAM installing this movement,” he said in the audiovisual.

He also explained that he participated in an important videoconference with the 33 foreign ministries of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, “analyzing the entire work plan for the remainder of 2023 and reviewing the progress that has been made in previous meetings by thematic areas”.

Finally, the Foreign Minister said that the work week of the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy closed with the reception of the Prime Minister of barbadosMia Mottley, “who met with President Nicolás Maduro and we are advancing in important agreements with this Caribbean island,” he said.
