Flamengo angry at the Amalfitani lawn
The technical director, Dorival Júnior, complained this Wednesday about the state of the field of play at the José Amalfitani stadium, where tonight he will visit Vélez Sarsfield for the first leg of the Copa Libertadores semifinal.
“It’s painted and dry,” commented the DT of “Fla” in statements to the Brazilian signal of TNT Sports.
The Brazilian squad trained yesterday at the Casa Amarilla facilities but a delegation toured the “Fortín” playing field and passed the report to the coaching staff.
The information that Flamengo has and spread to the Brazilian press is that the Amalfitani turf is in these conditions at the request of coach Alexander “Cacique” Medina, who asked that the irrigation be suspended.
“IT IS PAINTED AND DRY.”
