The Argentine Soccer Professional League closed its seventeenth day this Monday, which dleft Vélez Sársfield as the only leader with 36 units, five more than Huracán and Talleres, which share second position.
The date closed with Tigre’s 1-2 victory as a visitor against Atlético Tucumán, which followed Defensa y Justicia’s 2-1 victory over Rosario Central.
Earlier, Estudiantes defeated Banfield 1-2 as a visitor and Barracas Central drew 1-1 against Independiente Rivadavia.
These results put an end to a new day of the Argentine championship, which was marked by the 1-0 victory of Vélez Sársfield at home against the tough Racing Club thanks to a bit from Braian Romeroscorer of the tournament with 10 scores.
Another notable duel was the classic in the province of Córdoba between Belgrano and Talleres, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
In it debut of Mariano Herrón as interim coach of Boca Juniors after the departure of Diego MartinezXeneize won 1-0 at home against Argentinos Juniors, while River Plate could not get past a 0-0 draw on its visit to Platense.
Both are far from the top of the championship, although Millonario is in qualifying positions for the next Copa Libertadores in the annual table, where it is three points above Boca, which would be accessing the Copa Sudamericana.
