General representatives and campaign administrators were made official during yesterday’s event. Not so the vice presidency. Regarding the announcement of the figure that will accompany Velázquez, the representative of the ANR, informed that they will still take the time to decide, and that they have until June to register the plate.

Derlis Osorio, national senator for the ANR, and campaign manager in the Central department of Velázquez, reported that they are very optimistic about the upcoming elections.
“The main leaders are accompanying the movement. We are optimistic of achieving a victory”, he expressed.
The legislator criticized Santiago Peña, a Colorado presidential candidate for the “Honor Colorado” movement. He described him as a figure not identified with the ANR.
“It depends exclusively on the economic power of Horacio Cartes. This makes it inconvenient for the country or for the party,” he said.
When asked about who Velázquez’s vice president should be, he stated that he recommends a Colorado leader from the interior of the country. This, taking into account that the current vice president is identified with the Central department.
“In short, what we are looking for is that the candidate be the one that brings together the most people. So a woman or a young man would not be bad, but it is an issue that must be defined by Velázquez himself, “he concluded.
