Vehicle with occupants on board catches fire in Huancayo (VIDEO)

A blue vehicle with license plate W1E-018 caught fire near Grau Park, in the province of Huancayo. According to witnesses inside, there were three people on board, who, upon seeing the flames, got out of the vehicle to try to put out the flames.

The flames came out of the front of the vehicle, the alarmed neighbors called the national police, who arrived with a fire extinguisher that was useless. The lack of water also made emergency response difficult.

Neighbors helped the police with wet rags and buckets of water, they also fenced off the access streets, according to a neighbor’s testimony, it took them around 40 minutes to put out the flames, which is why they called on the authorities so that they can have better implements to deal with this type of emergency.
