Vehicle sales grew 8.4% in April

In April, 20,622 new vehicles were registeredwhich represents an increase of 8.4% compared to the fourth month of 2021, This, according to the license plate information provided by the National Traffic Single Registry (RUNT), and the Fenalco and Andi analysis.

The representatives of the automotive sector through the Andi-Fenalco #En4Ruedas alliance, Juliana Rico, director of Andi’s Chamber of the Automotive Industry, and Eduardo Visbal, vice president of Foreign Trade and Vehicles at Fenalco, highlight the contribution of the automotive sector to employment of the country, since the sector (industry and commerce) represents 1.7% of the national GDP, contributes 6.6% to the industrial GDP and 48% to the GDP of Commerce with more than 45 thousand direct jobs and 330 thousand indirect.

The employment generated by this sector produces multiple linkages, it is highly trained, it is formal and it creates the middle class worldwide.
