Vehicle sales continued to rise in September

According to the license plate information provided by the National Traffic Single Registry (Runt), in September 2022 23,871 new vehicles were registered presenting increases of 4.6% compared to September 2021 and 5.3% compared to September 2019.

According to the Fenalco and Andi analysis, in the accumulated at the end of the ninth month of 2022, 195,256 new vehicles have been registeredshowing growth of 9.7% compared to the same period in 2021 and 5.6% compared to the same period in 2019.

The five brands with the highest number of registrations in the month of September were: Renault, Chevrolet, Toyota, Suzuki and Kia with market shares in the order of 19.0%, 15.0%, 10.6%, 8.5 % and 8.1%rrepresenting 61.2% of the total vehicles registered in the ninth month of the year.

Between January and September the participations by line were: Suzuki Swift with 4.2%, Renault Duster with 4.0%, Chevrolet Onix with 3.9%, Chevrolet Joy with 3.7% and Renault Kwid with 3.4% of the market, occupying the first five places of license plates in the country; These five lines represented 19.2% of the total registered so far in 2022.

On the other hand, at the end of the ninth month of the year, 12,804 cargo vehicles with a growth of 24.1% compared to the same period in 2021.

Also until September, the sale of electric vehicles shows a growth of 245.6% with 2,554 units sold, compared to the same period in 2021; and in terms of the sale of hybrid vehicles, it continues to grow by 82% with 19,015 units sold, compared to the same period.
