Vehicle rotation in the capital of São Paulo is suspended from this Monday (23rd) until January 10th. The restriction goes back into effect on Monday, January 13th.
According to the city hall, the rotation of license plates for trucks will continue unchanged in the coming weeks, a measure that also affects the rules of the Zone of Maximum Restriction on Truck Circulation (ZMRC) and the Zone of Maximum Restriction on Chartering (ZMRF).
The rotation prohibits the circulation of vehicles in the expanded center of São Paulo from 7 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm, from Monday to Friday. On Mondays, those with end signs 1 and 2 cannot travel in this area; on Tuesdays, the restriction applies to finals 3 and 4; in the quarterfinals, finals 5 and 6; on Thursdays, 7 and 8; and on Fridays, 9 and 0.
Among the roads that form the area where the rule is in force are the Tietê and Pinheiros roads, the Bandeirantes and Affonso D’Escragnole Taunay avenues, the Maria Maluf Road Complex, Tancredo Neves Avenue, Rua das Juntas Provisórias, the Viaduto Grande São Paulo and the avenues Professor Luiz Ignácio de Anhaia Melo and Salim Farah Maluf.
The fine for drivers who do not respect the rotation is R$ 130.16. In addition, the driver gains four points on his driver’s license.
