Vehicle production increases 6.9% from January to November, says Anfavea

President extends IPI exemption on car purchase

Vehicle production grew 6.9% from January to November, reaching 2,178.2 thousand units compared to 2,037.3 thousand produced in the same period last year. According to figures disclosed today (7) by the National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea), in November, production reached 215.8 thousand vehicles, registering growth of 4.9% in comparison with the same month of 2021 and 4.7% compared to October.Vehicle production increases 6.9% from January to November, says Anfavea

New vehicle sales fell by 1.3% from January to November, with 1,887.5 thousand units registered against 1,912.8 thousand in the same period of the previous year. In November, units sold reached 204 thousand, which represents an increase of 12.8% compared to October and 17.9% compared to November last year.

Exports increased by 34.3% from January to November, with 449.7 thousand units sold on the foreign market. In the same period last year, this number was 334.8 thousand. In comparison with November of last year, sales abroad increased by 55% and compared to October the growth was 1.2%, according to the monthly balance of Anfavea.

The number of people employed in the vehicle industry in November reached 104,523, an increase of 0.2% compared to October and 1.9% compared to November last year when the number of jobs was 102,583.
