With the result, the team from Rio maintained the runner-up in the tournament with 31 points, but saw the distance for leader Cruzeiro to reach six points. The team from Recife occupies the 6th position with 22 points.
Vasco’s next challenge in the competition will be on Saturday (9) against Criciúma, in Santa Catarina. On the same day, Sport receives Londrina on Ilha do Retiro.

Bahia and Grêmio also played this Sunday afternoon (3) at the Fonte Nova Arena, in Salvador, but drew goalless. As a result, both teams remained within the G4 of the competition.
