A protest that occurred in Lircay ended with excesses in the Provincial Municipality and the Qatun Tambo Anqara Market.
First, they attacked the offices of the Provincial Municipality of Lircay, breaking glass, furniture, wall newspapers, flower pots and community furniture.
However, these were not the only damages recorded, it also emerged that computer equipment, documents, a camera, among others, were stolen, which was reported to the relevant authority of the Public Ministry, who, together with the Police, carried out an inspection.
Then, they went to the facilities of the Qatun Tambo Anqara market, which is one of the main supply centers of the city and in which they carried out excesses harming the merchants, who, despite the economic problems, day by day go out to seek to earn an honest living.
As indicated by Nemesio Paredes Marcañaupa, deputy mayor of the Provincial Municipality of Lircay, he stated that there were two meetings at the level of authorities, in which two activities had been scheduled for today, one was to sensitize drivers who park their vehicles incorrectly and that the merchants respect and maintain prices for consumers, in which Mayor Jaime Dávila Munarriz should have been.
However, due to his work, the mayor had to travel and was absent from his commune, a fact that bothered the population and began to generate disturbances.
“Here the presidents, the Defense Front, also the community presidents have to take over,” said the deputy mayor, who said that there are communities that have been asked to pay a 50 soles fine for not attending the march.
