With this fact, the national government headed by the Minister of Finance, Diego Guevara, updated its inflation projection for this yearwent from being at 3.2% in the medium -term fiscal framework (MFMP) to reach 3.6% in the last revealed road map.
According to the study, the products together show a downward trend in prices, therefore, the products that most reduced their value were: the chonto tomato (46.7%) with a large reduction and the chicken breast ( 32%). Cost of the basket by cities
According to the information delivered by the firm, of the seven main cities taken into account in the analysis, Only one presented an increase in cost of this basic family basket. That was Villavicencio, who in January 2024 presented a value of $ 143,575 and reached 2025 to $ 143,940 (0.3%).

In Villavicencio, the dust detergent increased 1.08%, while tuna in water rose a slight 0.58%. The products with more significant decreases were coffee with -0.20% and AA eggs with -0.01%.

And in Medellín, coffee had an increase of 1.56%, followed by dust detergent with 1.07%. On the other hand, the products with the highest reductions were the Cabezona onion with -1.71% and the green banana with -1.74%.
