Valle del Cauca creates committee to anticipate terrorist actions

In the last hours it was announced the formation of the Committee for Prevention and Anticipation of Terrorism in the department of Valle del Caucawith the aim of counteracting actions promoted by criminal groups in the region.

In this regard, the governor of Valle, Dilian Francisca Toro, emphasized the need to avoid possible risks due to terrorist acts. For this The possibility of forming a deliberation body on measures and strategies to contain the actions of violent individuals was identified.

“The idea is that we can anticipate and prevent terrorist acts that happen in the department of Valle del Cauca, especially in the municipalities of Cali and Jamundí”highlighted the president.

He explained that the committee will be made up exclusively of the heads of the Public Force in the department, in addition to high-level representatives of Intelligence, the Attorney General’s Office and the different rulers of the region.

The creation of the Terrorism Prevention and Anticipation Committee is protected by Decree number 122-1464 issued by the Government of Valle, in which A series of powers are granted to the body that aspires to lay the foundations for a much more operational action plan that avoids risk situations.

According to what has been learned, the committee meetings will be held every 15 days and there it is expected to define issues such as control for the use of drones in the department of Valle del Caucain addition to setting the guidelines for the deployment of the Public Force at strategic points, both at exits and entrances to the region.
