Vale has announced Gustavo Pimenta as the company’s next CEO. He was unanimously elected by the Board of Directors after a selection process. Pimenta is currently the Executive Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations and will replace Eduardo Bartolomeo as the company’s CEO.Vale elects new president

The company’s chairman of the board of directors, Daniel Stieler, said that “we are very happy and confident with the choice of Gustavo Pimenta. He has the necessary skills to enable us to aspire to a new virtuous cycle for the company, guided by our purpose, and with great potential to generate value for all our stakeholders. The succession process demonstrated the high level of integrity, transparency and robustness of the company’s governance.”

Pimenta said that “I appreciate the trust in leading Vale in this new cycle. Who is it

Gustavo Pimenta is an executive with global experience in the financial, energy and mining sectors, and with a career spanning more than 20 years in Brazil, the United States and Europe. In 2021, he assumed the position of Executive Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at Vale.
