Valda rules out to initiate legal actions for his arrest

In his first statements to the media, Valda ruled out to initiate legal actions against the Government for his arrest. “We are not going to initiate legal actions against the Government, now it is time to hug our family and thank for support,” said Valda.

“They say we had conspired to make a cabinet. If the government put it that way it is probably an omen tomorrow, but for now we are focused on defending human rights. We are going to defend ourselves with an illegal process,” said the lawyer.

The lawyer considered that he is persecuted for being a human rights lawyer. “It is the fourth time, that this government seeks to silence me, but all the processes have ended in dismissal and rejection. This will not be the exception,” he said.

Last Saturday, in a precautionary hearing, Judge Eddy Junior Flores determined to grant “pure and simple freedom” to Valda by not having demonstrated the risks of escape or hinder.

Other apprehensions
