Santo Domingo.– One trough will continue to influence the atmospheric conditions this Sunday, generating increases in cloudiness and rains from the early hours of the day in different areas of the national territory.
According to the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), during the morning precipitation will be recordedmainly in communities near the south coast, including the Greater Santo Domingo.
In the afternoon, the conditions will become more unstablewith downpours that could be strong in some parts of the country, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusts of wind. The provinces with the highest probability of these conditions are Mount SilverSánchez Ramírez, Duarte, La Vega, Monsignor NouelSantiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Espaillat, Puerto PlataSan Juan, Dajabón, Elías Piña and Independencia.
It is expected that at the beginning of the night rains begin to decrease gradually, gradually returning to more stable conditions.
The authorities recommend to the population keep an eye on official bulletins and take precautions against possible flooding of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as against electric shocks and gusts of wind.
