SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology this Friday forecast scattered weak to locally moderate rains, occasionally being strong with possible isolated thunderstorms and gusts of wind, due to the approach of a prefrontal trough and the incidence of a trough at altitude.
He indicated that in the morning the rainfall will be recorded in La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, Samaná, Sánchez Ramírez, Hermanas Mirabal, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, Greater Santo Domingo, La Romana and San Pedro de Macorís, while in the afternoon they will spread over San Cristóbal, Peravia, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Azua, Santiago, Elías Pineapple and others nearby, decreasing significantly overnight.
While this Saturday morning there will be little rainy activity; Only some weak and isolated rains will occur towards Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez and the northern part of Hato Mayor and El Seibo.
While around noon, some showers will occur towards Monte Plata, Greater Santo Domingo and San Cristóbal, while during the afternoon, some scattered weak to locally moderate rains will be generated over Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Nouel, Duarte, Hermanas Mirabal , Espaillat, La Vega and Puerto Plata, due to the effects of a trough at different levels of the troposphere.
Regarding temperatures, he said that they will continue to be pleasant during the night and the first hours of the day due to the time of year, especially in mountain areas and in the interior of the country.
According to Meteorology, in the National District and the Santo Domingo province will be partly cloudy to cloudy with weak to locally moderate rains, especially during the afternoon.
