Santo Domingo.– A frontal system located to the east of Cuba will generate a trough that will affect the Dominican territory this Friday, causing the occurrence of downpours in several provinces of the country, the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported this Thursday.

Provinces with the highest incidence of rain

According to Meteorology, precipitation will be concentrated mainly in:

La Altagracia, La Romana, Barahona, San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, Juan Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, Espaillat, Monseñor Nouel and La Vega.

Likewise, rain is expected in Santiago de los Caballeros, San Juan, Santiago Rodríguez, Valverde, Dajabón, Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal and the National District.

Temperatures slightly increasing

Indomet also reported that temperatures will experience a slight increase in the coming days, due to the entry of warm air from the south of the Caribbean Sea.

However, he recommended that the population keep an eye on the official bulletins in case of possible changes in weather conditions.
