The vaccination campaign against covid-19 will continue in Petrópolis tomorrow (1st) and on Ash Wednesday, informed the Municipal Health Department. Due to the state of public calamity, there was no optional point this carnival.
“We have not decreed the optional point and, therefore, we have complete teams and work normally at the vaccination points. The intention is to accelerate the immunization of people, which had to be interrupted due to heavy rains. Reaching the end of this pandemic depends on all of us”, highlighted today (28) the mayor of Petrópolis, Rubens Bomtempo.
Scheduling must be done at site from the city hall because since last week, when the campaign was resumed in the city, the hours of the immunization centers were changed, in an emergency. The service will be from 10 am to 2:30 pm at all vaccination points.
The Secretary of Health, Marcus Curvelo, said that the moment is ideal for the population to catch up on the calendar, since many people will be off during the period. “Our teams worked tirelessly to resume, as we believe in science and the importance of vaccination to get us out of the pandemic,” said Curvelo.
Operation
Six vaccination posts are in operation. They are the Collective Health Center (Rua Santos Dumont, downtown), Drive Thru of Itaipava (Parque Municipal Prefeito Paulo Rattes), UBS Itaipava, UBS Posse, UBS Itamarati and Casa da Educação (Avenida Barão do Rio Branco, downtown). On Tuesday, the Drive Thru of Itaipava, the Collective Health Center and UBS Itamarati. In the latter, the doses will be applied only to the public over 12 years old. On Wednesday, all other vaccination points will reopen normally, including Extra Quitandinha, always from 10 am to 2:30 pm.
The Municipal Park will have applications for adults only. At the Extra Quitandinha, Collective Health Center and UBS Itamarati stations, people (children, adults and adolescents) over 6 years of age will be served. At Casa da Educação, UBS Itaipava and UBS Posse, vaccination will be for children aged 5 to 11 years.
