Héctor Castro, director of the Expanded Program on Immunizations (PAI), reported that only 3,460 people applied the fourth dose. They are people over 50 years of age, people with underlying diseases and health professionals.
He reported that some 1,373,142 people have already received the third dose. But considering that the second was received by more than 3 million people, there are around 1,635,000 who still need to receive the third booster dose.
“We urge that they receive the third dose. It is ideal to complete before the arrival of winter”, he stated.
Likewise, there are some 481,607 people who received the first dose and have yet to receive the second dose.
“We are advancing in vaccination at a very slow pace. I want you to stop and look, 58% have received the first dose, 50%, both doses, and only 20% of the target population all three doses,” she stated.
