Undoubtedly, the return to normality has affected the drop in vaccination against covid-19, and since it is not compulsory, the population has lost interest in applying the antigen that is used to combat the infectious disease.
Of the more than 1,000 spaces that were enabled throughout the national territory to apply the preparation, a large number have been closing their doors due to the low attendance of people.
Only in the National District did the centers that operated in the Ágora Mall, Sambil, Downtown Center and the Garrido supermarket stop placing the drug.

Others that are also not operating are the Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (Unphu), the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (Pucmm) and the Universidad Iberoamericana (Unibe).

The Sirena de la Winston Churchill, as well as the Plaza Lama de la 27 de Febrero and the Karate pavilion of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center are still open, the person in charge of the latter, Mary Pilar Paulino, said that since the elimination of the sanitary measures decreased the average number of daily vaccinated.

He pointed out that last Monday at the post where they used to vaccinate some 200 people daily, they placed the biological on 18, and yesterday in the early hours of the morning they had inoculated 10. The country has been vaccinated against Sars Cov 2 since February of 2021.
