In 2024 every 47 hours a femicide was consumed, according to the Utopix non -governmental organization in its report corresponding to last year. In that period the NGO registered a total of 185 murders to women and 15 frustrated attempts.
«Faced with this reality, it is imperative to make it visible and give voice to those women, girls and adolescents killed at the hands of femicidal violence, demanding from the Venezuelan State and society in general urgent actions against the increase in violence and denouncing the impunity that covers Many times to these aggressors, ”said Utopix in his Web page.
He called the State to implement measures that face the increase in violence and impunity that, he warned, on many occasions, “protects the aggressors.” He pointed out that last year the frustrated femicides were recorded every 41 hours.

He indicated in his report the figures corresponding to December. He pointed out that in the last month of 2024 13 cases distributed in the Bolívar states were counted (2), Nueva Esparta (2), Portuguese (2) Anzoátegui (1), Falcón (1), Sucre (1), Miranda (1) , Aragua (1), Cojedes (1) and Táchira (1).
He added that most femicide victims were between 16 and 40 years old and 51 to 55 years. He described that most consummate cases occur due to mechanical suffocation with a total of five cases; In three of them the cause was due to firearms; In one case it was by white weapon, in the last by blows. Another of the murders was with fire use and in two cases the cause was not published by the medium.
«Of the total of 13 cases, in six, the murderers left the victim’s body on public roads; In four they suffered torture; In two sexual abuse, in three cases the victims were missing; In one the victim suffered mutilations, in one it was burned, in 2 buried, in one kidnapped, ”he added.
On the aggressors, he pointed out that there were 14 homicides, six of them are imprisoned, four committed suicide and in four other cases there is no information. Of the victims, he explained that five were mothers, so seven children, or adolescents were orphaned.

He said that six femicides were intimate; One occurred by criminal gangs; a family femicide, a vicarious femicide; and four femicides to be determined in which information is missing.
He added that there were 11 cases of Venezuelan femicides abroad. He specified that they were reported in Colombia, Chile, Peru, the United States and Ecuador.
