The Technological University of Santiago (UTESA), held this Saturday his ninety-fifth graduation through which he delivered to the Dominican Republic 1,191 new professionals in different careers at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Graduates are from the Santo Domingo and Santo Domingo Oeste Campuses.
The investmentwhich took place on the Herrera Campus, was led by the rector of the Santo Domingo and Santo Domingo Oriental Campuses, María Elena Cruz, who offered the main speech and was accompanied by the academic vice-rector Olga Guzmán; the administrative vice-rector, Ely Cruz and the different directors of the undergraduate and graduate schools.
“We have a duty to recognize the effort that each one of you has made to achieve the goal of having a title that accredits you to perform technical, professional and scientific work in the world of work, both in the public and private sectors, at the same time. , who have developed knowledge and skills to undertake, innovate and be good citizens, as required by today’s Dominican society,” Cruz said.
The academic highlighted the obstacles that were overcome by the new Utesian graduates during their course at the university, including the country’s health situation, caused by the Covid-19.
“More of 1This university has contributed 32,000 graduates to the country, in various areas of knowledge, which reveals its direct impact on reducing poverty and the lack of opportunities for Dominican citizens, being an important agent of upward social mobility of youth ” the teacher indicated.
The academic vice-chancellor of the Santo Domingo Campus presented the graduates before the authorities present, where the titles were subsequently delivered, of which 1,110 corresponded to the undergraduate area and 81 to postgraduate.
In a press release, the entity reported that 67% of the graduates are female, while 33% are male.
On behalf of the graduates, Rayfeel Daniel Constanzo Peñagraduated from the Public Accounting career and with the highest academic index, thanked the teachers and the institution and promised to contribute his knowledge for the benefit of the country.
