UTESA awards an Honoris Causa Doctorate to Judge Yeni Berenice Reynoso

The Technological University of Santiago (UTESA) awarded the title “Doctor Honoris Causa” to magistrate Yeni Berenice Reynoso Gómez, assistant attorney of the Attorney General’s Office, within the framework of the celebration of her Ninety-third Ordinary Graduation.

This “Honoris Causa” title granted to Judge Reynoso by the Senate Board of the University was made in recognition of her leadership and professional career, determined by her commendable ethical commitment, transparent and respectful of human dignity, as well as her significant contributions to the modernization of the justice system of the Dominican Republic.

In his words, Eng. Frank Rodríguez González, president and chancellor of UTESA, said that Judge Reynoso represents an example of what it means to have determination, passion and love for your career. Therefore, he urged the graduates to follow her example, reiterating that they have the power to decide to be great professionals to build a better future for the country together.

The presentation of Judge Yeni Berenice was in charge of Dr. Lily Rodríguez González, rector of the UTESA Headquarters, who also highlighted the merits and professional career of this Utesian graduate: “The life story of our honoree is not only a story of courage, but of love, love for equality, for life and for peace. In general, that love for justice is the value that drives her actions and the trait that we share in this house of studies ”.

Yeni Berenice, during her speech, emphasized to the graduates that “knowledge is the essence of change in humanity” and that “today’s society competes for its human capital, and hence the value of the knowledge acquired.” In the same way, Judge Berenice motivated them to “turn each challenge into an opportunity, and each opportunity into a change, not to give the basics in their human and professional practice, but to give the extraordinary.”

Likewise, Reynoso invited them to reflect on the value of time, expressing that: “goals by way of consequence are not achieved unless we understand that this time cannot be recovered; Do not forget that time is valuable, it is not sold, it is not bought, it does not stop, nothing is as equal as time, it gives us all the opportunity of 24 hours a day, the difference is how we invest it”.

Judge Reynoso ended her words by thanking the academic authorities of UTESA for having made the recognition possible, reiterating her solemn commitment to honor him every day, so that they feel even more proud of their Utesian graduate.

In this promotion, 929 degrees were awarded at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level, belonging to the disciplines that make up the different Faculties of the University.
