the menu of UTE rates Offered for more than two years an intelligent plan for homes (Residential Double Hours rate). Residential customers who adhered to this plan register average savings of 20% on their monthly electricity bill, compared to the Simple Residential rate, which is the one they had previously contracted.

This week UTE enabled a similar plan, but which is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout the countryas he had anticipated The Observer last March.

The new product is based on the General Seasonal Hourly Rate (THE) which is divided into three time slots, but with a redesign that seeks to optimize the cost of energy in SMEs.

What does it consist of?

The client can choose the peak hours, that is, the stretch of four consecutive hours between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. where the price of energy is billed more expensive (today $10,155 kWh). And in the remaining 20 hours the price is significantly cheaper.

If you have a smart meter connected, you can choose between the following options: from 17 to 21, from 18 to 22 or from 19 to 23 hours. The choice of Peak hours must be maintained for at least 12 months.

Besides, on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, throughout the yearthe price of energy in the Peak schedule is the same as in the Flat schedule (today $4,466 kWh).

Meanwhile, during every day in September, October and Novemberthe price of energy during the Peak schedule will be equal to the price of the Flat schedule.

On the other hand, a commercial discount of 9% is offered on energy charges, fixed charge and charge for contracted power.

And in services with contracted power equal to or greater than 12 kW, a higher power can be contracted for Valley hours (00 to 07:00 hours) than in Punta and Llano hours. In this way, it will be possible to consume more power during Valley hours, paying the lowest of the contracted powers.
